The annual White House Correspondents’ Association dinner is held in Washington D.C.’s Hinckley Hilton on April 29th this year, and it will be the first in which prominent journalists and celebrities rub shoulders with high-profile members of the Trump administration in what is widely considered to be an informal ‘presidential roast’.

Bee called for powerful, semi-automatic weapons to be banned, labelling them as "high-capacity penis substitutes".

Comedian and presenter Samantha Bee delivered a visceral monologue in the wake of the recent atrocities in Orlando, Florida, on Monday’s episode of ‘Full Frontal’, urging radical action once and for all to prevent such mass shootings from occurring again.

America has been in mourning since the shocking massacre of 49 people and scores of countless injured others at a gay club in Orlando on Saturday (June 12th). The Daily Show's loss is TBS' gain.

The mass exodus from The Daily Show continues with Samantha Bee's departure, announced this Friday. Bee follows in the footsteps of her husband Jason Jones and, of course, Jon Stewart himself. It's kind of a bummer for Daily Show fans, but not so much for Bee herself, who is leaving to start her own show on TBS.

Samantha Bee says "goodbye" to The Daily Show and "hello" to greener pastures at TBS.
