Matt Lauer Still Sending Advice To NBC About 'Today' Show

After being sacked in November 2017, Lauer has been reportedly firing off suggestions about the show - even though nobody asked him to.

Disgraced former presenter of NBC’s prestigious ‘Today’ show Matt Lauer has been offering unsolicited advice to the show’s producers, more than a month after he was fired from the programme for sexual misconduct in the workplace.

According to a report from Page Six on Wednesday (January 3rd), sources from NBC are claiming that Lauer, who was given his marching orders in late November after receiving complaints of inappropriate sexual behaviour toward female colleagues, is firing off advice from his sofa to ‘Today’ staff – and that they’re not best pleased about it!

His advice apparently even included a suggestion that one of the producers had used the wrong piece of introduction music to lead into a segment on the show.

Donald Trump has announced he now owns 100% of the Miss Universe Organisation.

Donald Trump now owns the whole of the Miss Universe Organisation. The business tycoon announced his purchase on Friday (11th September). Trump previously owned half the organisation but finalised negotiations on purchasing the rest this week.

Brian Williams Back On MSNBC To Provide Coverage Of Pope's Visit

The beleaguered former NBC news anchor will make his comeback providing coverage of the papal visit later this month.

Former NBC anchor Brian Williams will make his comeback to TV screens later this month, covering the Pope’s visit to the United States on September 22nd on MSNBC.

Williams, who has been suspended without pay from the network since February after it was discovered that he had fabricated his experiences during his coverage of the Iraq war, will work as a breaking news and special reports anchor at the network’s sister station MSNBC, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

'Coach', the sitcom starring Craig T. Nelson as football coach Hayden Fox, will be back on television this fall. NBC has ordered a new 13 episode season of the 90s sitcom.

The sitcom Coach, starring Craig T. Nelson, will return to our screens in a brand new series. NBC announced they had picked up the new series, consisting of 13 episodes, on Thursday (26th March). Coach has been off air for the past two decades but Nelson is set to reprise his role in the new series which will air this fall. The original series of Coach aired on ABC for nine seasons between 1989 and 1997.

The 68 year old country legend is partnering with NBC to produce a mini-series based on her songs and life.

Having enjoyed a critical and commercial rediscovery over the last couple of years, Dolly Parton is now planning to take over TV screens. The country legend is collaborating with NBC to produce a mini-series based on her songs.

Rolling Stone Country magazine has revealed that a series of two-hour long TV specials has been green-lit by the network, which will be inspired by Parton’s songs and positive outlook on life.

It seemed a long time coming and now veteran journalist Ann Curry has finally announced she is leaving NBC News. After being sidelined for nearly two years, Curry is moving on to a new venture with NBC Universal which will see her develop her own media start up.

Former NBC News Anchor Tom Brokaw Says His Bone Cancer "Is In Remission"

In February the television journalist revealed he was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in August 2013, and was undergoing treatment for the illness.

Former longtime NBC news anchor Tom Brokaw delivered some very good news when he recently gave an update on his health. The 74-year-old journalist, who as diagnosed with a type of cancer affecting blood cells in the bone marrow, is now in remission.

In February Brokaw revealed he was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in August 2013, and was undergoing treatment, but fortunately on Sunday (Dec 21st) NBC News posted a letter he wrote that was headed with "The cancer is in remission."

Minnie Driver Confirmed For 'Peter Pan Live'

The British actress joins a cast list that already includes 'Girls' star Allison Williams and legend Christopher Walken.

Minnie Driver has announced that she’s signed up for ‘Peter Pan Live’. The 44 year old actress will be the narrator of the piece and also star as the adult Wendy Darling on the live TV event, which is due to air on NBC on December 4th at 8pm ET.

Giving more detail in reaction to the casting, Chairman of NBC Entertainment Robert Greenblatt stated: "We're thrilled to have Minnie as part of this Peter Pan adventure. She appears in the final emotional scene when Peter returns to the Darling home years later only to realize Wendy is now grown up and has a daughter of her own, but you'll also hear her voice throughout the movie since Adult Wendy is also our narrator. She's a classy addition to our wonderful cast."
