The dream team of Cooper, De Niro and Lawrence have reunited again for David O. Russell’s biopic ‘Joy’.

After working together on 2012’s Silver Linings Playbook, Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Lawrence, Robert De Niro and David O. Russell have teamed up again, this time for biopic Joy. Joy tells the story of inventor Joy Mangano, who broke the rules as a female to become a millionaire business woman thanks to her miracle mop. But for Cooper the real ‘joy’ of filming came from working with Lawrence, De Niro and Russell again, a team that he says he’d ‘do anything’ to make more movies with.

Bradley Cooper stars in Joy.

Cooper’s first time starring opposite Jennifer Lawrence came in the Oscar nominated Silver Linings Playbook, a year later the pair went on to star in another award-nominated film, American Hustle. Speaking about their on-screen chemistry Cooper said: “She’s kind of the best really at what she does.”

Joy Trailer

Joy Mangano always wanted to be an inventor and, after getting married, having three children and then getting divorced, she finally decides to follow her dream. It's often the male entrepreneurs that people remember in history, but Joy proves that women can be just as powerful as she rises to become president of her own company, Ingenious Designs, and invents the cutting edge cleaning system, 'Miracle Mop'; all while taking care of a family on her own and running into some difficult circumstances along the way. Betrayed, occasionally on the wrong side of the law and suffering from many losses, Joy is the living embodiment of what doesn't kill you makes you stronger - and with millions of dollars in sales, she's certainly stronger.

Unfortunately for her, she doesn't have any health insurance so she is forced to walk away from hospital without any surgery to remove it. In the meantime, she suffers brain damage which causes her to have mood swings, an increased sex drive and unpredictable behaviours. Needless to say, Scott is less than keen on the idea of marrying her now. No matter though, Alice appears to have other things on her mind; she wants to meet young Congressman Howard Birdwell to show her support for his proposition of beginning a healthcare bill. Unfortunately, he doesn't seem to have a clue what he's talking about, but that doesn't stop her falling head over heels for him.
