Kanye West Announced As Headliner For Glastonbury 2015
Kanye West will headline the Glastonbury Festival 2015, taking to the Pyramid Stage on Saturday night. The hip-hop megastar joins rockers Foo Fighters, who were previously announced for Friday. AC/DC, Noel Gallagher and Taylor Swift remain favourites for the Sunday slot.
There had been plenty of speculation regarding Kanye's potential appearance at the festival and the news has now been confirmed on the festival's website.
A statement on the Glastonbury website read: "We're very excited to reveal that Kanye West will headline the Saturday night of this year's Glastonbury Festival. This will be the rapper's first appearance at the Festival."
"We're very excited to announce that @kanyewest will headline the Saturday night at Glastonbury 2015," said a post on the festival's official Twitter page too.

Back in 2008, Noel Gallagher claimed to was "wrong" to have a hip-hop headliner after Jay-Z was confirmed the festival. The rapper hit back by opening his set with a version of Wonderwall by Oasis.
Still, Kanye has been pretty omnipresent in recent weeks, particularly in the UK. He performed at the Brits and played a surprise show at Koko in London's Camden.
Other acts confirmed for the festival include Lionel Ritchie, while the likes of The Zombies, Seth Lakeman, Fatboy Slim and Ben Howard are likely to be confirmed within the next couple of months.
Last year's Glastonbury Festival was headlined by Arcade Fire, Metallica and Kasabian. Dolly Parton played a notable set in the 'legends' slot on Sunday, while Lana Del Rey, Jack White, Elbow, The Black Keys and Robert Plant and the Sensational Space Shifters also played.
