Kanye West's Performance Muted At Billboard Music Awards
Kanye West was repeatedly muted during his Billboard Music Awards performance on Sunday (17.05.15).
The 37-year-old rapper performed his tracks 'Black Skinhead' and 'All Day' at the star-studded ceremony at Las Vegas' MGM Grand Garden Arena, but was censored throughout due to bad language and was barely visible due to smoke and flames on stage.
The unfortunate incident comes just three months after the controversial musician faced a similar scenario at the BRIT Awards in London, where viewers were unable to hear the majority of his performance due to the broadcaster muting his expletive-ridden rap.
However, elsewhere during the event things ran more smoothly, with energetic performances from Britney Spears and Iggy Azalea who sang their new single 'Pretty Girls', and Kelly Clarkson who debuted her new song, 'Invincible'.
Taylor Swift was the big winner at the event scooping a total of eight awards including Top Artist and Top Female Artist, although Meghan Trainor also walked away with the gongs for Top Hot 100 Song and Top Digital Song thanks to her chart-topping breakout single 'All About That Bass'.
Meanwhile Pharrell Williams had a good night, picking up three awards including Top R&B Artist, while Hozier won Top Rock Artist and Top Rock Song for 'Take Me To Church'.
Elsewhere, Iggy Azalea and Sam Smith each received three prizes, with One Direction - who made their major red carpet debut as a four-piece at the event - walking away with the Top Duo/Group and Top Touring Artist accolades.
