Katy Perry Has Not Spoken To Russell Brand Since Divorce

The couple split in 2011 after just 14 months of marriage, and Perry has not heard from the British funnyman since he sent her a message informing her of his plans to move forward with legal proceedings.

She tells Australia's Sydney Daily Telegraph newspaper, "He hasn't spoken to me since he texted me saying he was filing for divorce. I don't want to talk about him - my songs will say what I need to say.".

Perry also reveals she has changed the name of the cat she once shared with Brand because Rusty was an amalgamation of their two names, adding, "I still have the cat. But I've changed her name to Monkey."
