50 Cent Fans Create Site To Help His Finances

The In Da Club hitmaker applied for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, and his fans are now trying to help him out by creating the site help50cent.tumblr.com.

The website is titled "Make 50 Cent rich again!" and it asks visitors to boost the rapper's earnings by listening to his track Piggy Bank on streaming service Spotify, but the website editors note: "Spotify pays the artist $0.0011 per play so let's click away his bankruptcy."

The fundraising attempt had received just just $5 (£3) in donations as WENN went to press.

50 Cent, real name Curtis Jackson, has joked about the bankruptcy filing, insisting it was simply good business practice and he still has plenty of money.

However, documents obtained by TMZ.com show Jackson owes $26 million (£16 million) to a variety of creditors, including his grandpa, who he owes $1.7 million (£1 million).
