50 Cent Rues Song Title Choice

The hip-hop star penned the track for his pal Eminem's movie 8 Mile, and the title was intended to refer to a self-obsessed show-off.

However, the name caused amusement among fans in the U.K. as it is derived from a derogatory curse word, and 50 Cent admits he now wishes he could turn back time and choose a different title.

He tells Q magazine, "Oh yeah, (it came from) w**ker! I didn't know what it meant when I wrote that - afterwards they told me what a w**ker was. I was like, 'Oh s**t, hold on...' It does fit with the song, though. Would I have called the song that if I knew what it meant? Probably not."

The rapper is not the only U.S. star to fall foul of the transatlantic language barrier - Miley Cyrus named her 2013 album Bangerz without realising the word is British slang for female breasts.
