Celebs Could Face Huge Tax Bills After Tax Avoidance Legal Ruling
By Ed Biggs in Lifestyle / Showbiz on 01 June 2017
A number of celebs, including Beckham, Ant & Dec and Gary Lineker, were among more than 1,000 who participated in the Ingenious scheme to fund the British film industry, which a judge has declared was illegal in terms of tax relief.
A number of big-name celebrities including David Beckham, Gary Lineker and Ant & Dec are among those who have lost a legal big to overturn a tax bill of £700 million.
They are among more than 1,000 people who invested in the Ingenious film financing scheme in order to gain tax relief. The scheme, which helped produce massive movies such as Avatar, qualified for tax breaks designed to boost the British film industry.
However, HMRC contended that the scheme relied on artificial losses from the movies concerned, and that meant that Ingenious was not a legitimate investment opportunity but a tax avoidance vehicle.

Gascoigne Trailer
Paul Gascoigne become a national legend for his skills on the football pitch, predominantly playing for Newcastle United, and reached a pinnacle of success when he brought England to fourth place in the 1990 FIFA World Cup. Well known for his emotionally-charged playing and passionate dedication, he was loved by all aspiring football players and deeply respected by his superiors. At the time he was probably the most talented midfielder in England, but away from the stadium he was also the most troubled. As his popularity grew, his life spiralled out of control. Revelling in nights of binge drinking and substance abuse brought him media attention for the wrong reasons, and the more he was exposed, the more he was driven to drink. 25 years on, his sobriety and mental health are continually tested, though for many his sporting legacy will never be overshadowed by the scandals.

Looking Behind The Name Of Wayne Rooney’s New Kid – Klay
By Jack de Aguilar in Lifestyle / Showbiz on 21 May 2013
It turns out, naming your children with matching first letters is 'in'
Klay, it’s a weird name isn’t it? It’s not so weird when you consider the parents football Wayne Rooney and his wife Coleen, and celebrities never give their kids normal names.
Klay Anthony Rooney's birth at 02:11 BST was announced by his mother on her Twitter feed. She wrote that he weighed 7lb 11.5oz (3.5kg) and "we're all so happy and doing well". Pamela Satran, who has written numerous books on baby names and runs the site nameberry.com, reckons she knows what’s behind the name. "I think 'tradition' is too grand a term for it," she says, talking about the tendency of celebs to name their kids with the same first letter. "It's a practice that started in the US, at least, in the 1950s when people moved away from being very tradition-bound – with family, religious or cultural names – and started picking names they liked. So that left a lot of room to make up their own, much sillier traditions. One thing people did, just like dressing their children the same, was give them matching names. We certainly love it over here [in the US]."

Wayne Rooney Swaps Football Boots For Dancing Shoes In Comic Elf Vid
By Holly Williams in Lifestyle / Showbiz on 21 December 2012
Wayne Rooney has swapped his Man United kit for an elf costume in a Christmas video he has doctored for his fans online.
The footie star applied photos of his, his 3-year-old son Kai, and his wife Coleen's faces on the heads of three elves doing a street dance to a hip hop rendition of Tchaikovsky's 'Dance Of The Sugar Plum Fairy' on the exceedingly popular app Elf Yourself. The 27-year-old striker shared the video on his Facebook page to an appreciative response and 6,000 likes within an hour. It's nice to see the football player in such a good mood, despite being too busy to see much of his family over Christmas what with training for two big matches close to the day taking up all of his free time. Although, he and Coleen have just revealed that they are expecting a baby boy sometime in May 2013 so that's got to be something keeping his spirits up at the moment.
One Rooney fan commented on the joke video saying, 'Wicked, you look awesome as an Elf Wazza!! Happy Xmas to you and your family xx' while another insisted he 'do the same dance for [his] next goal on Sunday.'

A source told The Sun newspaper, "Coleen's birthing experience with Kai was plain sailing and she absolutely loved the staff. She is in a fortunate position where she could afford to have five-star treatment in a private hospital. But there was never any question in her mind about where she would return to have a little brother or sister for Kai."
Following the birth of their first child, bookmakers Coral offered 66/1 on Wayne and Coleen's son playing for England, while William Hill quoted 100/1 for him to play Premier League football..

Double Delight For Wayne And Coleen Rooney: Wayne Rooney Is England Captain
By Contributor in Lifestyle / Showbiz on 11 October 2012
What a great couple of days it's been for Coleen Rooney and Wayne Rooney. Last night Mrs Rooney was making it public that she and her footballing husband were to have their second child together, and now it's been revealed that Wayne will be captaining the England football team this weekend as they take part in World Cup qualifying action against European minnows San Marino.
"A few people guessed, so news is out ha!!" Coleen wrote on her Twitter yesterday (October 10, 2012), going on to add "Me Wayne and Kai are thrilled that we are expecting a new addition to our family around May time"; another Tweet then said "Its still only early but bursting with excitement! Also wanted the news to come from us, before anyone else!" The couple's son Kai is three years old next month. Among those leading the congratulations was Wayne's former England striking partner Michael Owen, who joked "Didn't think you had it in you to fill another pram! Still a couple behind me! Congratulations to you both."
Whilst 32 year-old Owen's England days look to be behind him, Rooney will be captaining his country for the first time since their 1-0 defeat to Brazil in a friendly in November 2009. Rooney takes the role after injuries to Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard have taken both players out of the game.
