Britney Spears And Ellen DeGeneres Reigned At The 2017 People's Choice Awards
The 2017 People's Choice Award was once again chock full of the best TV shows, movies, stars and musicians that the last year had to offer with the likes of 'Finding Dory', 'Outlander' and Britney Spears leading the winners for this year's ceremony. Ellen Degeneres made history as the entertainer who has won the most People's Choice accolades, bringing her total up to 22 with a further 3 awards.
The leading winners at this year's People's Choice Awards were 'Finding Dory' for Favourite Movie (and Family Movie), Ryan Reynolds for Movie Actor and Jennifer Lawrence for Movie Actress. Reynolds saw more success when his movie 'Deadpool' landed the Action Movie prize, but it was Robert Downey Jr. and Margot Robbie who won the Action Movie Actor and Actress awards.
The Comedic Movie accolades went to 'Bad Moms' and Actors Kevin Hart and Melissa McCarthy, while Dramatic Movie was taken home by 'Me Before You' alongside Dramatic Movie Actor and Actress Tom Hanks and Blake Lively. Hanks was beaten to the Movie Icon award, however, by none other than Johnny Depp. Plus, 'The Girl On The Train' was this year's winner for Thriller Movie and 'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them' was the Favourite Year End Blockbuster.
'Outlander' won the TV Show award as well as Premium Sci-Fi/Fantasy Series with stars Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe landing Sci-Fi/Fantasy TV Actor and Actress respectively. Other shows that the people chose were 'Orange Is the New Black' (Premium Drama Series), 'Fuller House' (Premium Comedy Series), 'The Big Bang Theory' (Network Comedy), 'Grey's Anatomy' (Network Drama), 'Baby Daddy' (Cable Comedy), 'Bates Motel' (Cable Drama), 'Criminal Minds' (TV Crime Drama), 'Supernatural' (Network Sci-Fi/Fantasy), 'The Walking Dead' (Cable Sci-Fi/Fantasy), 'Man With A Plan' (New TV Comedy) and 'This Is Us' (New TV Drama).

Britney Spears was the big winner of the music section, winning Female Music Artist, Pop Artist, Social Media Celebrity and Comedic Collaboration for her 'Mall Mischief' with Ellen Degeneres, who also won Daytime TV Host and Animated Movie Voice for 'Finding Dory'. Other big winners were Male Music Artist Justin Timberlake, whose 'Trolls' soundtrack tune 'Can't Stop The Feeling' also won Best Song, and Blake Shelton who won Male Country Artist and the Album prize for 'If I'm Honest'. More music winners were Fifth Harmony (Group), Niall Horan (Breakout Artist), Carrie Underwood (Female Country Artist), Little Big Town (Country Group), G-Eazy (Hip-Hop Artist) and Rihanna (R&B Artist).
This year included a very well-deserved Humanitarian Special Award for filmmaker Tyler Perry.
