Adele Wipes Out The Competition With Three Wins At The 2022 BRIT Awards
By Holly Mosley in Music / Festivals on 09 February 2022
Here are the full winners from this year's BRIT Awards.
It’s no surprise, given her history, that Adele with her first album in six years, 30, took home all three main prizes at the 42nd Brit Awards, but it’s still a jaw-dropping achievement. With Mastercard Album of the Year, Artist of the Year and Song of the Year for Easy on Me, Adele’s collection of BRITs is now at twelve in total.
“I’d like to dedicate this award to my son”, she said in her tearful Album of the Year acceptance speech. “And to Simon, his dad; this album was all of our journey, not just mine. I’m very proud of myself for sticking to my guns and putting out an album that was about something so personal to me, because not many people do stuff like that anymore.”

By Holly Mosley in Music / Festivals on 11 October 2021
Where does Billie place among the Bond theme greats?
With the recent premiere of the landmark 25th James Bond movie No Time To Die (and the last featuring the inimitable Daniel Craig) and the accompanying title theme by Billie Eilish and her brother Finneas, we thought we’d explore where exactly our youngest ever Bond theme performer ranks on the complete list of main title themes from the spy thrillers.

By Holly Mosley in Music / Festivals on 04 October 2021
She’s set to become the youngest to ever headline Glastonbury.
She’s not even out of her teens yet and Billie Eilish has already achieved more than most musicians achieve in a lifetime. She became the youngest artist to ever win Grammy awards in all four general categories, and now she’s set to become the youngest to ever headline Britain’s iconic Glastonbury Festival.
The news came via Instagram when the 19-year-old star dropped a shot of herself wearing a Glastonbury hoodie with the caption “2022” on her stories. Festival organiser shared the image on her own account.

Billie Eilish at the Met Gala
Ok, so it’s a bit extravagant, but what’s a Halloween party without someone wearing a completely over the top princess dress? This year, it’s your turn to take the limelight as Met Gala Billie Eilish- but hopefully without the hefty Oscar de la Renta price tag.

Met Gala 2021: The Three Pop Icons Who Took Our Breath Away
By Holly Mosley in Music / Festivals on 14 September 2021
Billie, Lil Nas X and Rihanna stole the show at the fashion event.
It’s the fashion event of the year and, as usual, all the charting pop icons were in attendance at the 2021 Met Gala. This year’s theme was American Independence and, as the saying goes, it was go big or go home - exactly the sentiment these celebs took with them to Metropolitan Museum of Art this week.
I would have hated to be at the Met Gala with Billie this year. Fellow attendees must have felt like the Ugly Sisters to her Cinderella. Clothed in peach tulle with a vintage wavy blonde bob, black eyeliner and a dusky red lip, she did designer Oscar de la Renta proud.

Billie Eilish - Happier Than Ever Album Review
By Holly Mosley in Music Reviews on 30 July 2021
It’s one of the most highly anticipated album releases of the year, which puts an awful lot of pressure on a woman who’s faced more than enough criticism and scrutiny over the past two years.
In just over a year, the 19-year-old singer will travel across the UK in support of her forthcoming second studio album Happier Than Ever, which is set to drop this summer two years after the release of her critically acclaimed debut album When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?.

The BRIT Awards 2021: In No Particular Order, The Winners Are.....
By Andrew Lockwood in Music / Festivals on 12 May 2021
The 2021 BRIT's was a spectacular event that delivered some great performances and saw some very worthy winners.
With a great deal of excitement, a lot of relief and some anxiousness, the biggest night on the UK's musical calendar went ahead as the BRIT's 2021 celebrated the stars and artists that have made the biggest impact in music over the last year. As part of the Government's pilot scheme to get events back up and running safely the O2 once again hosted the BRIT's, not in front of the usual 20,000 fans and invited guests, but in front of an audience made up of 2,500 care workers and 1,500 music industry related others, with each of them having had to provide a negative CoVID test.
Jack Whitehall was back again, hosting the first major event at the O2 since March 2020. After a brief Line Of Fire themed intro, Foreplay, aka Coldplay, were first up performing their brand new track, Higher Power, on a floating barge in the Thames opposite the arena. With holograms and pyrotechnics galore Chris and his band lit up the night sky to get the show off to a suitably stellar start.
