Pearl Jam - Get It Back Audio Stream

Following the success of their eleventh album 'Gigaton' earlier this year, Pearl Jam joined with Bandcamp for their political compilation 'Good Music To Avert The Collapse Of American Democracy, Volume 2', contributing a new song entitled 'Get It Back'.

The compilation was released to raise funds for the Voting Rights Lab, and also features a number of previously unreleased tracks from the likes of The Gossip, Little Dragon, Perfume Genius, Arcade Fire, Tenacious D, Jack Johnson, The War On Drugs, Fleet Foxes, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Girlpool, Guided By Voices, David Byrne, Phoenix, Mark Ronson & Ilsey Juber, Cold War Kids and many more. Many are live renditions, and there are some excellent covers including Yola's version of Nina Simone's 'To Be Young, Gifted and Black' and Arcade Fire's cover of 'This Must Be the Place' by Talking Heads.

Meanwhile, we're still enjoying the experimental 'Gigaton', which may not have reached the chart-topping commercial success of their previous two Monkeywrench releases - 'Lightning Bolt' and 'Backspacer' - but nonetheless remains a solid contender for album of the year. Featuring singles 'Dance of the Clairvoyants', 'Superblood Wolfmoon' and 'Quick Escape', the record is a dynamic blend of candid honesty and political satire, with very few "filler" tracks. It's always interesting to see how a band like that changes over the years.
