AC/DC - Shot In The Dark Music Video

  • 02 November 2020

Legendary Australian rockers AC/DC make a welcome return with their first new release for six years. 'Shot In The Dark' is the lead single to be release from their upcoming 'Power Up', or 'PWR/UP' if you prefer, album and follows up 2014's 'Rock Or Bust'.

Reuniting previous, long-serving band members Brian Johnson, Phil Rudd, Cliff Williams and founding member Angus Young, the new material and new album serves as a tribute to fellow founding member and brother of Angus, Malcolm Young, who died in 2017.

'Shot In The Dark' has everything you'd expect from a classic AC/DC song. The typically raucous and infectious arrangement grabs you from the get go with Rudd's sure footed percussion, Brian's immediately recognisable rasping vocals, Angus's trademark power chords and one anthemic, stadium ready chorus. Purists will also undoubtedly be happy to see the return of a line-up that has decades of experience together after the brief introduction of Axl Rose on vocals for a few short years during 2016 and 2018.

AC/DC's new album is set for release on November 13th and will undoubtedly be one of the biggest sellers of the year for one of the biggest bands in the world. Credited with having sold a colossal 50 million copies of 'Back In Black' alone, 'PWR/UP' has a lot to live up to. That album was released after the tragic death of former lead singer Bon Scott in 1980 and paved the way for Brian Johnson's introduction. This album is similar in that it follows the loss of another band member and pays tribute to their life and contribution to the band and I'm sure that the hordes of AC/DC fans will be quick to grab a copy and set it on its course for some stellar sales figures.
