Silk City - New Love (feat. Ellie Goulding) Music Video

For fans fond of a threesome, Ellie Goulding's latest song, 'New Love', with Mark Ronson and Diplo (aka Silk City), could be just the thing to spice up 2021. Ronson and Diplo's on-going, but infrequent, side project Silk City has previously featured artists that have included Dua Lipa, Daniel Merriweather and Robyn and now it's the turn of Ellie Goulding.

Goulding is no stranger to working with Diplo having previously worked with him on their 2018 hit, 'Close To Me' but this is the first time all three artists have worked together. Ronson commented, “I love the music that comes out when Wes and I get together. It has a joy to it that’s different from everything else I work on. I’ve known Ellie for over ten years, and it’s great to finally get to make something together. Her voice has such a pure tone that cuts through everything.”

Diplo is clearly excited about the new music as well having said, “I'm always stoked to get back in the studio with Mark. We’ve been constantly trading ideas since the start of Silk City and finally found the time to bring some of them to life. We came out with this classic house record and Ellie was kind enough to lend her voice to it.”

'New Love' is an up tempo dance track about losing yourself in the moment and not caring. Goulding said of the new record, "The song is about losing yourself on your own, not needing to be seen, knowing that the one that got away could be just as happy as this too".

If there were any dance floors to be filled this track would be pumping out loud and proud and filling them right now, for the time being, it'll have to soundtrack your kitchen disco.
