The Weekend - Pepsi Super Bowl LV Halftime Show Music Video

The Weekend may have been inexplicably snubbed by The Grammy's for this years awards but he was a spectacular triumph at the Super Bowl in Florida. During half-time at the Super Bowl LV between the local boys, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and The Kansas City Chiefs The Weekend put on an extravagant show stopping performance that had all the razzmatazz required for such a huge event in the sporting calendar.

At The Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida The Weekend performed as the score stood at 14-3 to the Buccaneers in front of 25,000 real fans and 30,000 cutouts. The real fans that were lucky enough to attend included 7,500 vaccinated health care workers among the smallest recorded crowd in Super Bowl history.

In his two-tone black and white shoes, his black slacks, black shirt and sparkly red Givenchy jacket The Weekend gave a commanding performance as he delivered what amounted to a greatest hits package in the fifteen allotted minutes. Starting in his convertible among the Las Vegas skyline The Weekend was accompanied by a huge choir of angels as well as an orchestra. There were plenty of fireworks, some intentionally chaotic choreography as well as an ascending moon, rising snow and plenty of fireworks.

The Weekend put on a great show, performed versions of his hits, 'Can't Feel My Face', 'The Hills' and 'Earned It' (among others) before finishing, penultimately and most surprisingly, with a Siouxsie And The Banshees sample of 'Happy House' and then his grande finale, 'Blinding Lights'.

The whole show, partly financed by The Weekend himself, was, as you may expect during a pandemic, scaled down from some previous years but it was no less impressive. The Weekend proved himself a worthy choice during his solo, standout, performance in Florida for the Pepsi Super Bowl LV Halftime Show. After the entertainment off the field of play Tom Brady went onto win his 7th Super Bowl as The Buccaneers won their second with a crushing 31-9 victory over The Kansas City Chiefs.
