Tones And I - Won't Sleep Music Video

'The Rocky Horror Picture Show' meets Michael Jackson's 'Thriller' in the video for Tones And I's latest single, 'Won't Sleep'. The 'Dance Monkey' sensation from Australia has been relatively quiet since she released her emotive single, 'Fly Away', back in November last year. Aside from releasing varying versions of that same song, the Antipodean singer-songwriter Toni Watson has not featured heavily in 2021.

With the release of her latest track, 'Won't Sleep', Tones And I is about to put herself well and truly back in the spotlight. Her new single is a vocal treat with a rhythmic, stripped back beat that is placed firmly front and centre throughout the new song. Synths enhance the score as Watson's vocal is stretched and manipulated over the original soundtrack.

The video, directed jointly by Toni, Nick Kozakis and Liam Kelly, is a cinematic delight following two kids, initially lost in the woods, who enter a haunted house where there are very ghoulish goings on inside. The schlock-horror masterpiece has the near dead, zombie's, and the mummified all in one room as an 'Elephant Man' like Tones sings through the song with the petrified kids looking on. Look out for other notable appearances from 'Pig Nose', 'Bird Man', the 'Bearded Lady', 'Hunchback', 'Leather Face', 'Ring Girl' and the 'Skeleton'.

If you're of a delicate disposition and easily traumatised then maybe give the video a miss and stick to the song! 'Won't Sleep' won't give you nightmares but it may make you a little more jumpy!
