The first round of artists have been announced for the awards ceremony which will be held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

The live line-up for this year’s Grammy Awards is beginning to take shape as Madonna, Ariana Grande, AC/DC, Ed Sheeran and Eric Church have all been announced as performing at the event on February 8th. The announcement was first made this morning (January 13th) by the award show’s official twitter account.

The Queen of Pop had been teasing a possible performance at this year’s awards, posting a pic on Instagram of an award mixed with her Rebel Heart artwork, along with the caption, "Rebel Hearts see you Feb 8th @TheGRAMMYs".

41-year-old Mike is best known for appearing in 'Next Friday' and the sequel 'Friday After Next' as Day-Day Jones. He has also appeared in the Golden Globe winning comedy 'The Hangover' as Black Doug. He currently serves as the Super Bowl Ambassador in Indianapolis for the 2012 Super Bowl. He will appear in three upcoming films currently in post-production; 'Mac and Devin go to High School', 'Vipaka' and 'Sparkle'

Actor and stand-up comedian Kevin Hart arrives at the Staples Center in LA for the Los Angeles Clippers basketball play-off game. On being asked if he was a Clippers fan he replied that he was there supporting his friend and basketball point guard Chris Paul who was playing that day.

32-year-old Hart has appeared in several comedy blockbusters such as 'Little Fockers', 'Epic Movie', 'Scary Movie 3' and '4', 'The 40-Year-Old Virgin' and 'The Five Year Engagement'. He is currently set to start filming a biographical drama 'The Impossible Dream' in which he's to star as the lead role: Precious McKenzie

Former N.W.A. rapper Ice Cube briefly acknowledges photographers on arriving at the Staples Center for the Los Angeles Clippers basketball play-off game.

Ice Cube began his career in the band CIA with Dr. Dre before forming N.W.A. He is currently a solo artist and announced on Twitter last year (2011) that a new album is currently in the making. As well as music, Ice Cube has also had various film ventures including having a main role in 'Boyz In The Hood' and 'Next Friday' as well as supporting roles in '21 Jump Street' and 'Rampart'

Louis Freese, aka B-Real, arrives at the basketball match between Los Angeles Lakers and the Chicago Bulls held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Christmas Day. The Cypress Hill rapper is seen walking to the Center, talking to the photographers about basketball. He reveals he has been a Lakers fan since childhood. He has his picture taken with a fan and wishes the photographers a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year as he goes on his way.
