Westlife's Nicky Byrne Goes Solo For Eurovision 2016

The popstar will represent Ireland with new song 'Sunlight'
It has now been announced that former Westlife singer Nicky Byrne will be representing Ireland in the forthcoming 2016 Eurovision Song Contest taking place in Sweden, singing a new song of his own 'Sunlight'.
He's won numerous awards and sold several million albums with the boyband Westlife, and now it seems he's embarking on a solo music venture with his Eurovision debut. His career path may have changed to presenting since the break-up of the band in 2012, but he isn't hesitant to grab the microphone once again for one of his favourite shows.
