Cher Lloyd (born 28.07.93)
Cher Lloyd is an English singer/songwriter who gained success after appearing on the seventh season of 'The X Factor' in 2010.
Childhood: Cher Lloyd was born in Malvern, Worcestershire to Darren and Dina Lloyd. She has a brother named Josh and two sisters, Sophie and Rosie. Lloyd studied performing arts at Dyson Perrins CE Sports College in 2009. She applied twice for the X Factor, yet it wasn't until her 2010 audition that she was successful in gaining a place on the show.
Career Lloyd: started off with a certain amount of controversy, when she performed a rap version of 'Viva La Vada' and claimed that she had written the rap lyrics herself, despite other contestants disputing this and saying the lyrics were written by Swizz Beatz. For the second section of the show, she was unable to perform before the judges due to a throat infection, yet went on to take part in the live show later on, anyway. For the live finals of each week, Lloyd performed 'Stay' by Shakespeare's Sister, 'Just Be Good To Me' by the SOS band, 'Hard Knock Life (Ghetto Anthem)' by Jay-Z and 'Imagine' by John Lennon. In the seventh week, Lloyd was in the bottom two, yet she was saved by the judges and made it into the final show where she performed with will.i.am and also performed 'The Clapping Song' and 'Get Ur Freak On'. This didn't stop her from only coming forth in the competition. Lloyd was signed to Syco Music after the seventh series of the 'X Factor', and began working on her debut studio album. 'Sticks + Stones' was released on 4th November, 2011, and went on to debut at the number four spot in the UK charts. A matter of months after the release, Lloyd announced that she was planning to start recording a second album. 'Sorry I'm Late' was released on 23rd May, 2014, receiving high praise from critics. Soon after the release, Lloyd left the Epic record label in order to join Universal Music Group for the production of her third studio album.
Personal Life: In January 2012, Lloyd announced that she was engaged to Craig Monk after dating for less than a year. On 18th November 2013, the couple were married in a secret ceremony.

Isle of Wight Festival 2014 Review
By Jim Pusey in Music Reviews on 17 June 2014
If there's something to take away from this year's Isle of Wight Festival, it's probably sunburn. Unlike the mud bath of two years ago, 2014 will be remembered for serving up one of the hottest weekends I can remember for a festival, along with some crowd-pleasing performances. While not every act managed to capture their moment in the sun, all the major names delivered in spades.
The highlight of Friday afternoon should have really been local boy Tom Odell on the main stage. But his piano led ballads took some time to win the crowd over despite his number 1 album 'Long Way Down'. By the time he'd finished though, the reaction showed that he'd justified his place on the main stage billing.

Bottled Off: 10 Bands Who Suffered Worse Fate Than Macaulay Culkin's Pizza Underground
By George Percival in Music / Festivals on 03 June 2014
Macaulay Culkin's band were forced off the stage in Nottingham after facing a disgruntled crowd. But which bands in music history have suffered worse fate at the hands of displeased crowds?
Macaulay Culkin and his pizza-themed Velvet Underground cover band, the imaginatively named The Pizza Underground, suffered the chagrin of a disgruntled crown in Nottingham during the city’s annual Dot To Dot festival. Culkin, who was by this point half-way through a European tour, beat a hasty retreat from the stage after being drenched with beer.
It proved, that in this age of disconnect, where audience members can turn to the comforts of smart phones during lacklustre gigs, music fans are still eager to openly voice their displeasure. Only a few days later, Culkin announced the cancellation of the remaining tour dates. He has not openly cited the event as the primary motivation for such a cancellation, but it seems all too obvious that the hostile reception he received had severely impacted the decision. Macaulay is far from being the first to suffer the wrath of an embittered crowd and few are safe from the ramifications of a poor or ill-judged performance. Here are ten examples of performers receiving a severe dressing down from irate audiences:

Breaking Down The Best Tracks On Cher Lloyd's 'Sorry I'm Late'
By Joe DeAndrea in Music / Festivals on 23 May 2014
Cher Lloyd releases her new album, Sorry I'm Late, on May 27. Which tracks are worth the listen?
Cher Lloyd is saying she’s sorry, but luckily for us, there's only one thing she's apologizing for. The apology is in the title of her latest album, Sorry I’m Late, due out May 27, and the record is an absolute smash. What’s she got to be sorry for exactly? According to a 2013 interview with Billboard, the UK popstar explains about the title that, “I think it has two meanings. It's been a long time since I've actually done anything new, but for me, it's as a person. I mean, I've spent a whole lot of time trying to figure out who I am, and I think everybody goes through that."
We can appreciate both of those meanings, because not only are we finally getting new music from her, but Lloyd figuring out who she is as a person has translated to one of the best pop albums you'll find this year. Sorry I'm Late follows up 2011's Sticks and Stones, so new material has certainly been a long time coming. For those who were fans of that Cher Lloyd attitude found on tracks like 'Oath' or 'Want U Back,' you can rest easy knowing that the new record has some bangers that fit right in that category. The album had its exclusive streaming premiere a week early on MTV, so while it's available for everyone's listening pleasure, let's take a look at some of the record's best tracks.

Mick Jagger Breaks Silence On Maroon 5's 'Moves Like Jagger'
By Holly Williams in Lifestyle / Showbiz on 13 December 2012
Mick Jagger has finally broken his silence on the subject of Maroon 5's number one hit 'Moves Like Jagger' and revealed that he didn't get paid anything for his reference in the song.
The Rolling Stones lead vocalist appeared for an interview on 'The Late Show with David Letterman' and, to the viewers' amusement, produced a list entitled: 'Top Ten Things I, Mick Jagger, Have Learned After 50 Years In Rock 'n' Roll'. On the list was a light-hearted dig at Maroon 5's song 'Moves Like Jagger' featuring Christina Aguilera, the video of which begins with footage of Jagger in his younger years and later shows singer Adam Levine trying out some of the famous dance moves. Jagger had written on his list that he had learned that "You don't earn a cent when someone does a song about having moves like Jagger." The music legend also drew laughs from his other advice which included, "Be considerate of other hotel guests - trash your room by 10 pm" and, "Before shouting 'Hi Seattle!' make sure you're in Seattle."
'Moves Like Jagger' is not the first number one hit that has referenced the star; he has also been mentioned in Ke$ha's 'TiK ToK' ('We kick em to the curb unless they look like Mick Jagger') and Cher Lloyd's 'Swagger Jagger'.
