'Real Housewives' Star Kim Richards Sentenced Over Shoplifting Case

She's avoided jail over the Target shoplifting incident back in August, but has been ordered to perform 300 hours of community service.
Reality TV star Kim Richards has avoided a jail sentence for the shoplifting case she was arrested for two months ago. The ‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ star was handed down a hefty chunk of community service, according to documents accessed by People.
51 year old Richards, a former child star, was sentenced to 300 hours of service in the community, plus three years of probation and 52 Alcoholics Anonymous meetings, in news first reported by TMZ.
She had pleaded no contest to the charges of shoplifting, relating to an arrest outside Target in Los Angeles on August 2nd, when a security guard intercepted her with $600 worth of items and placed her under citizen’s arrest.

Kim Richards has been sentenced on charges stemming from her public intoxication arrest in April. The 50-year-old former child actress, who starred on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills until this year, was sentenced on Monday (14th September). She has been sentenced to three years’ summary probation and ordered to complete 30 days of community service.

Kim Richards spent the night in jail on Sunday (2nd August) after police arrested her for shop lifting.
Kim Richards has allegedly been arrested for shoplifting. The former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star was reportedly arrested by police in Los Angeles on Sunday (2nd August). The 54-year-old reality star reportedly stole goods, in the region of $600, from a Target store near her home in the San Fernando Valley. She was caught by the shop’s security who placed her under citizens’ arrest and called the police.

Kim Richards has been successfully sued by a former friend for damages after Richards' dog attacked her last year.
Kim Richards is in more trouble. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star was successfully sued by one of her close friends (now probably a former friend) after Richards' dog attacked her in March of last year. The friend in question, Kay Rozario, claimed in court that the pitbull attacked her and caused extensive damage to her hand.

Kim Richards has reportedly been charged with public intoxication, resisting arrest and battery on a police. The charges stem from an incident in April when the 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' star was arrested in a hotel.
Kim Richards has been formally charged following her drunken arrest in April. The 50-year-old has been charged with public intoxication, resisting arrest and battery on a police officer, according to a report. Apparently the Los Angeles D.A. was unimpressed with Richards' efforts to sober up by checking herself into a luxury rehab facility.

Kim Richards' co-stars on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills have shown their support for the former child star on social media. Richards was arrested in the early hours of Thursday morning (26th April) and charged with public intoxication. Richards has had difficulties with alcoholism in the past and, in the light of her recent arrest, it appears she may have fallen off the wagon.
