This week's mixed bag of news brought serious Oscar indications, exciting new music from Beyoncé, not so exciting music from Rebecca Black and a shocking revelation from the mind of Tila Tequila.
Beyoncé Unveils Pre-Christmas Surprise: Beyoncé Knowles has dropped an entire album of new material suddenly and unexpectedly, somehow accomplishing the astonishing task of managing to evade those who seek to leak new pop albums. The singer dropped BEYONCÉ with its 14 new songs plus 17 music videos on iTunes after stating she was "bored" of the traditional way of releasing music. Find out more here.
Paul Walker Wreckage Thieves Charged: In a frankly unbelievable story of crime that rocked not only the grieving family and friends of the late Fast & Furious actor Paul Walker but Hollywood too, two thieves attempted to steal parts from the Porsche car that the actor and driver Roger Rodas died in. Jameson Witty, who bragged about his theft on Instagram, and Anthony Janow face charges of one felony count of grand theft of personal property and two misdemeanor counts of destroying evidence as well as delaying a police officer. Rebecca Black makes her comeback after 'Friday' with...'Saturday.'
Do some people not learn? After making her name with the notorious and oft-ridiculed 'Friday' in 2011, you'd think that Rebecca Black would have retreated from the relentless onslaught of memes, parodies and online abuse to a wood cabin in Alaska 20 miles away from the nearest broadband connection. Apparently not though: Ms. Black, now 16, has thrown those cyber trolls the juiciest bone by releasing not only another single, but a follow-up to her classic auto-tuned aria.
Guess Who? Rebecca Black Returns With 'Saturday.'
Presenting 'Saturday' with its further open top car-riding, bowls of cereal, implausible-looking house parties and zero score for creativity. Whilst we're awfully chuffed to see out favourite young star back in business and seemingly unscathed, she seems to have taken on a Ke$ha/Miley Cyrus persona whose only major lifestyle change seems to be waking up at the scandalously slovenly hour of 2pm on a sofa as opposed to her "7am wakin' up in the morning" doldrums of the past.

Rebecca Black returns with an aptly titled sequel to her original viral video.
Rebecca Black, singer of Friday, youtube sensation and 2011 flavor of the month has come out with a brand new video – one that will have you scratching your head and asking, is this a joke? It’s called Saturday and it is yet another party pop song, showcasing Miss Black’s remarkable ability to list the days of the week. If you’re already curious (and we know you are) you can check out the video below. It was released (can you guess?) on SATURDAY. How appropriate.
The rather predictably titled sequel to Friday:

In all seriousness, the video is funny in a very self-aware kind of way, with Black slurping cereal out of a bowl with “gotta have cereal” written on it, listing the days of the week (yet again) and generally being a party animal. The video also features a whole host of native youtubers. It’s a much better production overall than 2011’s Friday, which brought Black more than she had bargained for. The song quickly became a viral sensation, but the fame that came Rebecca’s way wasn’t what she was expecting.

Warning: Alison Gold's 'Chinese Food' Cannot Be Erased From Your Memory [Video]

Alison Gold's has various themes, chinese food, giant pandas and casual racism.
Yeah so we all remember Rebecca Black's Friday. It was a dreadful delight of a song and its cringe-worthy video got nearly 60 million views on YouTube. It launched the career of Ark Music Factory Patrice Wilson, though Black was the victim of online trolling and bullying. Which was weird.
Anyway, riding the wave of success, Wilson and Ark are back with their latest effort to rack up the YouTube plays: the equally awful but slightly more offensive and potentially racist Chinese Food, by someone or something called Alison Gold. She doesn't look real.
Wilson has pretty much used the same structure as Friday though he's getting the reaction he wanted with almost 4.5 million views so far.

Producer Patrice Wilson's latest attempt at a viral sensation could be the worst song of all-time.
A strong contender for the most annoying song ever has just been released, called 'Chinese Food'.
Alison Gold sings about her passion and love for the fast-food dish, singing "I love Chinese food" on the overly-auto tuned track.
The song is another attempt from the production company 'PMW Live' to create a viral sensation with the help from social media outlets.

Nicole Westbrook’s It’s Thanksgiving Goes Viral: But Is It The Worst Song Ever?

Nicole Westbrook’s ‘It’s Thanksgiving’ song has received over 3 million hits on YouTube since it was posted on November 7, 2012. Westbrook is the latest protégé of Patrice Wilson, the man behind Rebecca Friday’s ridiculously-bad-but-ridiculously-successful viral hit 'Friday'.
Essentially Wilson has used the same hook, basically the same lyrics, and the same cringe-worthy video as Friday for his latest track. He’s operating a conveyer belt of bad, bad music, designed specifically to make people like us write about it and people like you listen to it. So where do we start? Well, Westbrook is singing about her anticipation for Thanksgiving, With the turkey (ey!) And mashed potatoes (ey!)We we we are gonna have a good time. Yes those are actual lyrics from the actual song. She even sings with a vegetable instead of a microphone. In a segment lifted straight from 'Friday' (Yesterday was Thursday, tomorrow is Saturday), Westbrook crucially tells us “December was Christmas, January was New Year’s, April was Easter, And the Fourth of July, but now it’s Thanksgiving.” Thanks Nicole! Speaking to ABC News about the inevitable comparisons with Rebecca Black, the young singer explained, “Patrice had told me it was so hard for her [Black] because she gave into all the negative feedback…I’m just not like that. I’m staying as far away from that as I can. I’m at a good age and know what I should and shouldn’t read. They’re entitled to their own opinions.” Yes we are, yes we are.

How Psy’s Gangnam Style Took Over The Billboard Hot 100

Psy’s Gangnam Style – with its strange rap lyrics and crazy dance video – has jumped from No.11 to No.2 on the Billboard Hot 100, meaning it’s now truly made the transition from viral sensation to commercial powerhouse. Though the YouTube video has been viewed 285 million times, the single has now been downloaded 301,000 times, skyrocketing it up the chart and proving music fans simply aren’t happy with the video alone.
Its sales this week represented a 69 per increase, and it’s now perilously close to becoming the No.1 song in America (currently held by Maroon 5 with ‘One More Night’.) According to Billboard, the gap between the two songs is so tight that Psy could easily overtake Adam Levine and his gang on next week’s chart. It’s a sensational rise to stardom for the South Korean rapper and proof that an internet viral track (or video) can perform on the official charts too. Last year, Rebecca Black’s ‘Friday’ became the most talked about song of the moment (thanks to a cringe-worthy video and even worse lyrics) though it only managed No.58 on the U.S. chart. So what’s the difference with ‘Gangnam Style’? Well, it’s probably a variety of factors though it probably boils down to the fact that pop music fans feel slightly less embarrassed about getting up and dancing to the LMFAO-esque ‘Gangnam Style’ then they did grooving along to Black’s “Friday, Friday, kicking back on Friday.”
Elsewhere on the chart this week, Christina Aguilera’s ‘Your Body’ debuted at a relatively poor No.34, having been downloaded 103,000 times.
