Scottish singer Amy Macdonald has achieved her dream of receiving an invite to appear on British motoring show Top Gear after revealing her passion for racing.
The star expressed her desire to obtain a professional high-speed driving licence last month (Jun12) and she also owns a fleet of fast cars including a $263,600 (£170,000) Ferrari 458, an Audi R8 and an Audi Q7.
Now she has received a personal invitation from Top Gear host Jeremy Clarkson to appear on his programme after putting in a request.
MACdonald tells Scotland's Daily Record newspaper, "It looks like I'm in there, finally. Jeremy sent a text straight back saying 'Absolutely - I could go on the show' so I think that's it sorted now. I don't think he'll be scared I'll take his job. For him it's probably just good to have someone on who is passionate about cars for a change."
