The Television Academy has revealed the first tranche of stars who will present awards at this year’s Primetime Emmys ceremony, including actress and comedienne Amy Poehler and ABC talk show host Jimmy Kimmel.

The list, revealed on Tuesday (September 8th), includes a number of past and present nominees. Taraji P. Henson, who is nominated for lead actress in a drama for her role in ‘Empire’, is presenting a statuette, as is her co-star Terrence Howard. Maggie Gyllenhaal, who received a nod for lead actress in a limited series or movie for ‘The Honourable Woman’, will also present an award.

Poehler, who has been nominated on multiple occasions for her lead role in NBC’s fantastic comedy ‘Parks and Recreation’, including this year, will be doing the honours. ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ has a nomination in the variety talk series category. Finally, former nominee in 2012 LL Cool J, for his part in ‘NCIS: Los Angeles’, is up.

The awards ceremony itself is broadcast on Fox on Sunday September 20th, and is hosted by ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’s Andy Samberg. More names of presenters are due to be released in the coming days.

Meanwhile, the list of hosts for the Creative Arts Emmys, which are awarded the evening before on September 19th, has also been announced by the Academy.

The full list for that ceremony is: Beau Bridges (‘Masters of Sex’), Mel Brooks (‘The Comedians’), Cat Deeley (‘So You Think You Can Dance’), Allison Janney (‘Mom’), Ken Jeong (‘Dr. Ken’), Wendi McLendon-Covey (‘The Goldbergs’), Gina Rodriguez (‘Jane The Virgin’), Bradley Whitford (‘Transparent’) and Fred Willard (‘Modern Family’).
