Amy Schumer appears to have announced the end of her Comedy Central sketch show ‘Inside Amy Schumer’. The comedian took to twitter on Wednesday to speak out, after her colleague Kurt Metzger caused controversy with comments he made regarding rape. Schumer told fans that she had not fired Metzger from the show, but that he no longer worked for her because, “we aren't making the show anymore”.

Body shaming has been a hot topic in recent years, with a number of high-profile stars such as Amy Schumer and Cheryl Fernandez-Versini calling for an end to pressure from society on women to conform to unattainable body shapes.

Now, however, the idea has received backing in the form of law from the new Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, as he announced that advertisements that promote unrealistic body images will be banned from the London transport network.

Khan, who is affiliated to the Labour Party and was elected as Mayor last month, has two teenage daughters, announced the new Transport for London (TfL) advertising policy on Monday (June 13th), and warned that such ads risked causing body confidence issues, particularly among young people.

Comedian and actress Amy Schumer has announced details of her British and Irish tour dates on her first ever world tour this summer.

The 35 year old, who won a BAFTA for Excellence in Comedy last year and who recently secured her first TV special as a stand-up comic, called ‘Amy Schumer Live at the Apollo’, will be performing at Dublin’s 3Arena on August 26th, before moving on to Edinburgh’s Playhouse on August 30th, designed to coincide with the Edinburgh Fringe festival.

Amy Schumer has criticised Glamour magazine for featuring her name in their new issue that focusses around ‘plus size women’ in the entertainment, modelling and music industries.

The American comedian and actress’s name is included on the front cover of the special edition of the magazine, alongside those of Adele and Melissa McCarthy, while model Ashley Graham adorned the cover itself in a red dress.

However, Schumer took exception to the way the issue was packaged, and said that Glamour had included her name on the front cover without her permission while putting her 2015 feature from the main magazine in the special issue.

Trainwreck star Amy Schumer showed her generosity on Saturday evening when she left a $1,000 tip for bartenders after attending a performance of Hamilton. The comedian was on a night out with friends including boyfriend Ben Hanisch, who she revealed she was dating back in January.
