Comedian and actress Amy Schumer has announced details of her British and Irish tour dates on her first ever world tour this summer.

The 35 year old, who won a BAFTA for Excellence in Comedy last year and who recently secured her first TV special as a stand-up comic, called ‘Amy Schumer Live at the Apollo’, will be performing at Dublin’s 3Arena on August 26th, before moving on to Edinburgh’s Playhouse on August 30th, designed to coincide with the Edinburgh Fringe festival.

She’ll then make two appearances in England, at Manchester’s O2 Apollo on September 3rd and then the following night at London’s O2 Arena before moving on. In between these commitments, she’ll be doing gigs in Amsterdam, Oslo, Copenhagen and Stockholm. Tickets go on sale for the four dates on June 10th.

Schumer herself tweeted the news of the brief, eight-date European jaunt, saying “I’m going abroad!” The North American leg of her tour ends on June 23rd in New York City, having begun back in early April.

Schumer is also planning the release of a biography, ‘Girl With the Lower Back Tattoo’, on August 16th, which neatly coincides with her first ever world stand-up tour.

She branched out into film-making last year with the comedy Trainwreck, which was well-received and performed well at the box office. This is in addition to the numerous awards she’s won for her sketch show ‘Inside Amy Schumer’, which was commissioned for fifth season by Comedy Central back in January.

Schumer is planning a mother-daughter comedy project alongside Goldie Hawn, which doesn’t yet have a release date, and will next appear on the big screen in the drama Thank You For Your Service, dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder in soldiers returning from wars, which stars Miles Teller and is out later this year.
