The sitcom followed Dana Hopkins (Analeigh Tipton), a young woman from a small town who moves to New York to further her career and look for love. Dana then soon finds herself embarking on a relationship with serial dater Peter Cooper (Jake McDorman), with their journey as a couple explored in the series.

The series premiere had pulled in a less than impressive 4.3 million viewers and by week two figures had slipped even further to 3.2 million.

Created by Jeff Lowell, it had failed to leave a last impression on the critics as well as the viewers, holding a Rotten Tomatoes rating of just 29%.

ABC is said to have made the decision to cancel the series late Friday afternoon (October 24th) and will be replacing it with back to back episodes of 'Selfie', starting on November 4th.

‘Selfie’, starring Karen Gillian, is another rookie sitcom which has failed to make a splash with critics or viewers so far this season. The comedy has nine episodes left in its run and the network has ordered three additional scripts, but has not yet committed to anything beyond that.

But it’s not all doom and gloom for ABC’s newest shows. 'How to Get Away With Murder and comedy 'Black-ish' have both proved to be big hits for the network and have already been picked up for full seasons.
