Andie MacDowell may not be the only superstar in her family. Andie Macdowell's daughter Rainey Qually has been named Miss Golden Globe 2012 by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association.

The 21-year-old, who also aspires to be an actress, said at a news conference in West Hollywood: 'I would like to thank the Hollywood Foreign Press Association for giving me this wonderful opportunity to serve as Miss Golden Globe 2012. I'm really looking forward to being a part of this year's awards presentation.' The honor is usually given to a celebrity's offspring, having previously gone to the likes of JOELEY FISHER, Laura Dern and Melanie Griffith. Dakota Johnson also followed her mother Melanie Griffith to get the honour back in 2009. Other recent winners include Rumer Willis, daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore in 2008, and Kathryn Eastwood, daughter of Clint and Jacelyn Reeves. The role of Miss Golden Globe is to assist at the official awards ceremony which will be taking place on January 15 (2012).

Andie Macdowell is also not shy of the spotlight recently as she attended the L'Oreal Paris Women of Worth Awards in New York last night (10 Dec 2011). Having recently been in the remake of the 1980s classic 'Footloose', she will next be seen in the comedy drama 'Mighty Fine', due for release next year.
