Andre 3000 has some interesting ideas about who he might cast if there were to be a movie about Outkast, and you probably won't have thought of them before now!

Andre 3000Who would you pick to play Andre 3000?

The musician-turned-actor, who is appearing as Jimi Hendrix in the biopic Jimi: All Is By My Side, shared his ideas about who he thought should play himself and Big Boi in a film version of their story at a press conference, as reported by MTV.

"It would be great to make an Outkast movie right now, but instead of really serious, make it a full comedy — like Kevin Hart would play Big Boi," he said. Hart is best known for appearing in films such as Ride Along and Think Like a Man. And who should play Andrew himself? "We should cast somebody stupid — like Leonardo Dicaprio," was his suggestion. Andre also said in an interview with Rolling Stone that he hoped his bandmate Big Boi would get the credit he believes he deserves and praised his rapping abilities. "One of the biggest things that kills me is when people try to put Big Boi down,” he told Rolling Stone. “The chemistry that made Outkast was the balance. And honestly, Big’s a much sharper rapper than I am. If I was going to a battle, I’d definitely bet on him instead of me."

Outkast formed in 1992 but hit the bigtime with their single 'Hey Ya!' in 2003. They took a hiatus from 2007 until 2013 to concentrate on their solo careers, reforming to play at California's Cochella Festival in April 2014. Despite rumours, Big Boi has said the pair are not working on any new material.
