Andrew Garfield has revealed how he fell for his Spider-Man co-star Emma Stone, before they'd even started filming the movie. The couple kept their relationship under wraps to start with but it's thought that they began their romance last summer and in recent months, they've been snapped out and about together in New York together and now, Andrew has spoken about those first moments that he began to fall in love with Emma.
Speaking to MTV News, Garfield said, "We got on really well as people, in between takes. That was the fun stuff. In between, we'd just mess around and I felt, 'Ah, this is different'. I wasn't really aware of what was happening in the screen test. She keeps you on your toes and that wakes you up. That was the beginning." When Emma accepted the role of Gwen Stacy, Garfield was ecstatic and revealed that he was always excited for the days that he'd get to shoot his scenes together with her. "Those are the days I'd look forward to, you know? For [my character] Peter as well, because Peter goes through some horrible stuff in the movie. There's some joy to be had when experiencing his first love."
The Amazing Spider-Man opens next month (July 2012) and for the first time, the Spider-Man franchise will begin to look more closely at Peter Parker's childhood and the disappearance of his parents when he was young. The movie also stars Rhys Ifans, Denis Leary, Sally Field and MARTIN SHEEN.
