This week's box office is pretty predictable, with "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" serving up a minor disappointment.
The Amazing Spider-Man 2’s $92 Million debut over the weekend is up there with some blockbusters, but analysts are calling it a disappointment nonetheless, especially compared to Sam Raimi’s original trilogy from the 00s. Both the first and third installments of Raimi’s Spider-Man premiered on the first weekend of May and pulled in $114.8 million and $151.1 million, respectively. Still, with no other wide-release movie to compete with, the 2014 sequel easily landed at No. 1 for the weekend.Wa

Last weekend’s box office winner, the Cameron Diaz vehicle The Other Woman, fell to second place with just $14.2 million, while Heaven Is for Real held steady at No. 3 with $8.7 million, according to TV Guide.
