He returns for the forthcoming Comic Relief sequel.
The first teaser for the forthcoming 'Love Actually' sequel - a special short film exclusively for Comic Relief - has been launched featuring Andrew Lincoln reproducing his most iconic moment in the original movie, but this time inviting viewers to go and watch it.
Keira Knightley and Chiwetel Ejiofor return for 'Red Nose Day Actually'
It was the moment that all girls wished would happen to them when Mark (Lincoln) appeared at Juliet's (Keira Knightley) door to express his undying and yet unreciprocated love in the 2003 Christmas movie, but this time his all-famous placards are expressing one thing and one thing only: 'Red Nose Day Actually'.
Liam Neeson and Thomas Brodie Sangster are reunited
'Hello, I just wanted to ask, without hope or agenda, (and just because it's nearly Red Nose Day)', Andrew reveals in a series of large message boards, mimicking his 'speech' from the star-studded classic. 'That you'll join us for a very special reunion called Red Nose Day Actually.'
Keira Knightley will also be returning to the 10-minute short sequel, alongside her on-screen husband Peter (Chiwetel Ejiofor) and other members of the story including Rufus the annoying shop assistant (Rowan Atkinson), the probably-former Prime Minister David (Hugh Grant) and his love interest Natalie (Martine McCutcheon), writer Jamie (Colin Firth) and his Portuguese fiancee Aurélia (Lúcia Moniz), the widowed Daniel (Liam Neeson) with his son Sam (Thomas Brodie-Sangster) and Sam's love interest Joanna (Olivia Olson), Marcus Brigstocke as the Radio DJ and Bill Nighy as rock 'n' roll has-been Billy Mack.
Has Hugh Grant's character moved on from Prime Minister role?
Supermodel Kate Moss is also rumoured to make an appearance. If you remember Mark's message-board moment particularly well, you may remember him expressing the sentiment: 'With any luck, by next year I'll be going out with one of these girls...', followed by a collage of various models including Kate. Did Mark get his wish?
How long will Rowan Atkinson take to gift-wrap this year?
A number of previous stars will not be returning to the reunion sequel including Laura Linney, Rodrigo Santoro, Emma Thompson, Martin Freeman and, of course, Alan Rickman who passed away early last year.
The short film also sees the return of director and writer Richard Curtis, with some directorial guidance from Mat Whitecross ('Spike Island', 'Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll').
'Red Nose Day Actually' will air on BBC One on March 24th 2017, and NBC in the States on May 25th.
