Mogwli’s panther friend Bagheera will be voiced by Christian Bale, marking the first time Bale has taken on a voice role since 2004’s Howl's Moving Castle. Bale and Andy Serkis have previously worked together on Christopher Nolan’s 2006 drama The Prestige alongside Hugh Jackman. Not to be outdone, Jon Faverau also has an Oscar winner in the role, veteran Ben Kingsley will voice Bagheera in his adaptation.

Naomie Harris and Eddie Marsan as Nisha and Vihaan

Naomie Harris and Eddie Marsan will play the duo of Nisha and Vihaan two jungle wolves. Harris will be continuing on from her acclaimed performance as Winnie Mandela in last year's Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom. Marsan is best known for his performances in Miami Vice, Mission: Impossible III and , Tyrannosaur, where he starred alongside Peter Mullan.
