TV network bosses have paid tribute to tragic actor Andy Whitfield by taking out a full-page advertisement in U.S. industry paper Daily Variety.
The Spartacus: Blood And Sand star lost his battle with cancer on Sunday (11Sep11). He passed away at his home in Sydney, Australia at the age of 39.
Celebrities including Twilight actor Kellan Lutz and Whitfield's Spartacus co-star Lucy Lawless have already paid tribute to the actor, and now executives at Starz Entertainment, the channel which aired the series, have honoured the late star.
The 'In Memoriam' notice features a photo of Whitfield and remembers him as "a champion on screen, a legend in our hearts".
The tribute ran in Thursday's (15Sep11) edition of the publication.
A similar full-page advert was also included for Hollywood mogul John Calley, who also died on Sunday, at the age of 81.
