Angela Lansbury takes us right back with a performance of 'Beauty and the Beast', the main theme from the Disney film of the same name for it's 25th anniversary. The 90-year-old actress voiced the character Mrs. Potts in the original Disney movie released in 1991.

The actress proved that despite her advanced years, her voice is still as excellent as it always has been as she sang the movie's theme song during a 25th anniversary screening at Alice Tully Hall in New York City on Sunday night (September 18th 2016). She made the audience laugh with Mrs. Potts' line from the movie. 'Run along and get in the cupboard, Chip. Time you was in bed', she said following her song.

Angela Lansbury is a thrice-Oscar nominated legend, who is also known for starring in the likes of 'Bedknobs and Broomsticks', 'Murder, She Wrote', 'Anastasia' and 'Nanny McPhee'.

Angela was joined by composer Alan Menken on the piano, and the event also saw other members of the original voice cast answering questions including Paige O'Hara (Belle), Robby Benson (Beast) and Richard White (Gaston). 'Beauty and the Beast' was the first ever animated film to receive an Academy Award nomination for Best Picture. It went on to win Best Original Song at the Oscars, the Golden Globes and the Grammy Awards.

The Disney movie is getting a live action re-boot next year directed by Bill Condon ('Mr. Holmes', 'Dreamgirls'), with Emma Watson starring as Belle, Dan Stevens as Beast and Luke Evans as Gaston. Mrs. Potts will this time be portrayed by Emma Thompson. Ewan McGregor, Ian McKellen and Stanley Tucci also star. It will be released on March 17th 2017.

Also to celebrate the 'Beauty and the Beast' anniversary, Disney have released the Walt Disney Signature Collection on Blu-ray and DVD today (September 20th 2016).
