The 38 year-old actress' on-screen reunion with Pitt will not be a big budget blockbuster: “It’s the kind of movie we both kind of love but aren’t often cast in."
If Angelina Jolie is definitely going to star alongside her fiancé Brad Pitt on the big-screen, their fans should expect to see something very different.
The last time the Hollywood power couple starred opposite one another was in 'Mr and Mrs Smith' nine years ago, which is when they fell in love.
News of the pair joining the same production surfaced earlier this month, but Jolie has only just confirmed this, describing it as a very "experimental, independent" flick, while speaking with Extra to promote her latest movie, 'Maleficent.'
"It's not a big movie, not an action movie," she explained. "It's the kind of movie we love, but aren't often cast in. It's a very experimental, independent type film where we get to be actors together and be really raw, open, try things."
Jolie also took this opportunity to squash rumors that suggest that she is preparing to walk away from acting to concentrate on working behind the camera, but she did confess that directing the WW II film, 'Unbroken,' in Australia was an amazing experience.
"No, I'm getting there, at some point it will be," she confirmed. "I love directing, and 'Unbroken' was one of the greatest experience I've ever had working with a film."
The 'Salt' actress has been with Pitt for eight years now, and they share six children together, so how does a mother of half a dozen kids keep her relationship so strong?
"He's my family. He's not just a lover and partner, which he is, wonderfully, but he's my family now," she gushed.

Jolie recalled how they have made a conscious effort to keep their romance alive and aren't afraid to go the extra mile to do so.
"We have history and work hard to make it great," she said. "We don't kind of relax about it and take each other for granted. Like everybody, we have our challenges, but we're fighting to make it great."
