"She's a bit peppered, a bit spotted," he jokingly said to Access Hollywood. "She's doing great, she's so proud of this film...and grateful for everyone who came out [to the premiere] and her spirits are high."

Jolie broke the news that her chickenpox will force her to miss upcoming 'Unbroken' events to her via a video released by Universal Studios Entertainment on Friday (Dec 12th), in which she can be seen wearing a white tank top with visible red spots covering her upper body.

"I just wanted to be clear and honest about why I will be missing the Unbroken events in the next few days, which is that I found out last night that I have chickenpox," she said to the camera. "So, I will be home itching and missing everyone, and I can't believe it, because this film means so much to me. I just can't believe it. But such is life, there it is. And send everyone my love, and hope everything goes well."
