The jury overseeing the Anna Nicole Smith drug trial has reached a verdict after two weeks of deliberation.
The tragic actress/model's physicians Sandeep Kapoor and Khristine Eroshevich and Smith's lawyer and companion Howard K. Stern stand accused of conspiring to unlawfully provide controlled substances to an addict and of obtaining the medication through fraud.
During the two-month trial, prosecutors contended the three defendants used dubious methods to obtain and give powerful opiates and sedatives to Smith in years leading up to her accidental overdose at a Florida hotel in February, 2007.
Attorneys for the defendants argued that each of their clients were acting in Smith's best interests.
