If you've seen The Conjuring you may remember paranormal investigators, Ed and Lorraine Warren, had the doll in their possession and warned everyone to stay away from it. Annabelle will focus on the creepy doll and explain the background of the paranormal object.

Annabelle Wallis (X-Men: First Class) and Ward Horton (The Wolf of Wall Street) play a married couple with a baby who inadvertently acquire a possessed doll named Annabelle. Soon after the husband comes home with the doll to put in their new-born baby's room, the couple are awoken by noises from across the street. The husband goes to investigate whilst his wife is accosted by two knife wielding strangers who are intent on taking Annabelle. Although little can be glimpsed into details of the plot from the trailer, it's evident we will discover Annabelle's origins and why the two strangers are so intent on getting her back.

Wallis and Horton are supported by Eric Ladin (Boardwalk Empire), Tony Amendola (Once Upon A Time), Brian Howe (Hart of Dixie), Alfre Woodard (12 Years A Slave) and Michelle Romano (Milwood). Annabelle is set to be released in October in both the US and UK - just in time for Halloween!

Watch The Movie Trailer For Annabelle:

Annabelle is reportedly, like The Conjuring, based on a true story. As recorded on the Warren's Occult Museum website, Annabelle was bought in 1970 for Donna, a student, by her mother when she moved into university accommodation. Donna and her roommate began to notice the doll would move slightly but over time began moving across rooms. They brought in a medium who told them the doll was inhabited by the spirit of a girl who had died in a field where the apartment building now was. Apparently the spirit just wanted to be safe and to stay with Donna. Unfortunately, further incidents occurred and one of their housemates began to dream about being chocked by the doll and eventually was allegedly injured by it.

The Warrens, who were well known paranormal investigators, stepped in and took the doll. The couple called in a priest who attempted to exorcise the spirit in the doll. Although he didn't believe in the Warren's story, he did so but soon after had a near fatal car accident. The Warrens and the priest came to the conclusion a daemon was attached to the doll and they created a special glass case to hold the doll. It remains in the museum in Connecticut to this day.

Creepy, right?

If you can still want to see the movie, after reaching the 'true story' and watching the trailer, Annabelle is released in the US on 3rd October and UK on 10th October 2014.
