Anne Hathaway caused a mini-storm when she changed her Oscars dress from Valentino to Prada at the last minute - subsequently apologizing to her favorite fashion house for snubbing  their gown - however, that's nothing compared to the Devil's Wear Prada-esque rumors swirling around Hollywood.

As has been well documented, Valentino sent out a press release alerting fashion journalists that the Best Supporting Actress would be wearing their creation. She didn't - telling USA Today's Andrea Mandell on the red carpet, "I didn't know what I was wearing until two hours ago."

Now, Fashionista.com has caught wind of a rumor suggesting Hathaway caught a glimpse of her Les Miserables co-star Amanda Seyfried's Alexander McQueen gown and "freaked out," over its similarity to her own choice. She immediately called stylist Rachel Zoe and had the pale pink Prada number readied for the biggest night in her career. Hathaway hinted as such in a statement to People magazine, saying, "It came to my attention late Saturday night that there would be a dress worn to the Oscars that is remarkably similar to the Valentino I had intended to wear, and so I decided it was best for all involved to change my plans," adding, "Though I love the dress I did wear, it was a difficult last minute decision as I had so looked forward to wearing Valentino in honor of the deep and meaningful relationship I have enjoyed with the house and with Valentino himself."
