We'll be the first to admit that you have to be pretty talented and hard-working in order to have even received an Oscar nomination to begin with. Still, we can’t help but turn green with envy when hearing about what’s inside the Oscar’s goodie bag 2014, which is given to the stars who are shortlisted to win the prestigious award.

Oscars Goody BagAnne Hathaway won the Oscar for Best Actress in 2013

Oscar nominees for Best Actor, Best Actress and Best Director are each given a Distinctive Assets’ Everybody Wins goodie bag to take home after the awards ceremony. But don’t be fooled into thinking they’re taking home little plastic bags from Toys’R’Us, which include some smarties and a yoyo. Each gift set is worth more than $55,000 in total and includes such luxury treats as holidays, designer skincare and, our personal favourite, as well as something that everybody really needs, Epic Pet Health Therapy, which comes in at $1,571. We can imagine all the stars’ pampered pooches probably do go through an awful lot of hardship and need a little bit of councilling every now and then.

Among other goodies that the stars receive are; Blossom Blends Tea (£49, we'll stick to the regular stuff at that price), Hydroxycut Weight Loss Products ($38), Polar Loop Activity Tracker ($109), Rouge Maple Syrup ($249!!!), a house call from nutritionist, Heather Lounsbury ($500, time to change careers), Le Petit Cirque Troop ($575, after Googling it transpires that this is a circus lesson, you don’t in fact win a small troop of circus performers), Max Martin shoes ($750), Koala Landing Resort Stay in Kauai ($2,004 OK, now we're really jealous), Rocky Mountaineer Train Trip ($4,084), Best of Vegas Tour Package ($3,254) and to top things off a $5,402 trip to Japan.

The lifestyle that the stars already lead probably means that they may not be quite as overwhelmed as us laypeople would be if we were to be gifted this unbelievable set. The founder of the Distinctive Assets‘, Lash Fary (no, not a typo) explained “We always look forward to introducing celebrities to an array of companies with fabulous gifts to share, but it’s particularly fun to be able to do so when you know it will truly brighten someone’s day”.

The Oscars goodie bag 2013 was only worth around $48,000, while this year's is $55,000.  We hope the Oscar nominees from last year don't feel too hard done-by.

Additionally this year, recipients of the goody bag also have the opportunity to provide 10,000 meals to an animal shelter of their choice. Perhaps it would have been more philanthropic to have provided more than one option for charity, maybe one which gave back to people in need, who definitely won’t be receiving such luxurious goody bags anytime soon.
