E.R. star Anthony Edwards has paid tribute to the show's creator Michael Crichton, who lost his battle with cancer last week (05Nov08) at the age of 66.
Edwards starred in the hugely successful medical drama from the first episode in 1994 until his character Dr Mark Greene died in 2002.
He returns in flashback scenes during the show's final season - and is sorry Crichton couldn't live to see his creation come to an end.
Edwards says, "Michael Crichton was the original creator of E.R. He really based E.R. on his life as a young medical doctor. Michael was always really proud of the fact he had created something and passed it on. He was the starter of it all. He will be greatly missed."
