Sir Anthony Hopkins says his wife Stella Arroyave's favourite hobby is shopping with his money.
Sir Anthony Hopkins says his wife likes nothing more than spending his money.
The 75-year-old actor - who was married to actress Petronella Barker for six years before he wed production assistant Jennifer Lynton in 1973 - is blissfully happy with his third wife Stella Arroyave, but admits her skills with a credit card never cease to surprise him.
He told the Daily Mail newspaper: ''She's a wonderful woman who likes to spend money. Even as I am sitting here talking to you is out spending my money. It's all gone, whoosh!''
Hopkins says former antiques dealer Stella has a wonderful, calming influence on him and is always looking after him.
The ' RED 2' star explained: ''She's very good for me, my wife, because she slows me down. This morning I was sitting in a restaurant and I was leaning back in my chair jiggling away and she said, 'Don't do that.' I said, 'Why?' She said, 'Cause you could collapse!' She looks after me that way and she needs to, because my nature is to do things very fast because I have convinced myself that I am still 45 years old. I walk far too fast and I'm always falling over and she reminds me not to.''
