Oscar-winning actor Sir Anthony Hopkins has re-started work on his memoir three years after abandoning the project.

The Silence of the Lambs star stopped writing his autobiography in 2010 because his life story bored him, and he even returned a cheque for the advance to the publishers.

Now Hopkins has revealed he has started writing the memoir again, even though he remains unenthusiastic about the project.

He tells British magazine Event, "I've done 40 pages, which is not bad - my childhood and my early life and, yeah, I think it could work out, but I'm not passionate about writing it."
