aPAtT Martin's Quest Single

Disconcerting before you even hit the 'play' button (namely because iTunes appears to think that this is a Corinne Bailey Rae track, yet could possibly not be further from the truth), a.P.A.t.T have come up top trumps again. This is their version of pop. It is most people's version of comic confusion.

'Martin's Quest' sounds like Madness, in places. It also sounds like madness, in places. Madness/madness served up to us on a slippery plate of ska shanties and sea punk. The song lurches and lumbers about like a drunken sailor navigating his way across the deck, jostled about by accordions and brass. It may not be one of a.P.A.t.T.'s sonically finest moments, but it's one of their catchier ones.
