It was common knowledge that the two recording artists were good friends, but in a surprising twist they are now embarking on a romance together after becoming "very close" with each other, according to E!News.

"They have been friends since they made the song [Problem] together. They have been spending more time together and recently have been getting very close. They are both doing great," the source told the website.

Ariana, who collaborated with Sean on the track 'Problem,' gushed about the 26 year-old rapper when speaking to Ryan Seacrest last month. "I did another song with one of my best friends, Big Sean, and it's called Best Mistake, and it's one of my favourites on the album," she said.

This so-called friendship seems to have developed into something more, especially since the pair were recently spotted leaving a late showing of 'The Purge' in Los Angeles' The Grove together. An eyewitness claims that he saw the duo share a kiss before leaving the theatre early.
