Ariana Grande was joined by rap queen Nicki Minaj in a gym-based performance of the former's newest track 'Side to Side' at the 2016 MTV VMAs on Sunday (August 28th 2016), where they did a choreographed SoulCycle routine which turns out to have been a teaser for the brand new video.

The performance featured Minaj in curve-hugging pink Latex, muscular backing singers with dumbbells and scantily clad dancers on exercise bikes. Meanwhile, the Hannah Lux-directed new video had much of the same thing complete with sexy sauna and shower scenes and Ariana Grande in various outfits from a white sports bra and a shocking pink leotard to a PVC trenchcoat and Guess sportswear. As part of the single and video release, Grande has collaborated with Guess to release a range of gym-wear inspired by the video itself.

The single is from her third album 'Dangerous Woman', which she released back in May reaching number one in the UK Album Charts. The album also features the singles 'Focus' and 'Into You', as well as the title track. She'll be promoting the release with a tour later this year, details of which are yet to be announced.



It's the first time Ariana Grande has teamed alongside Nicki Minaj, but the latter has been making a lot of guest appearances this year. She joined Bebe Rexha on 'No Broken Hearts', DJ Mustard and Jeremih on 'Don't Hurt Me' and DJ Khaled on 'Do You Mind'.

Meanwhile, aside from promoting 'Dangerous Woman', Ariana has been launching various business ventures this year. Debuting her Mac Cosmestics collection, releasing her second fragrance 'Frankie by Ariana Grande' and unveiling her first fashion line with Lipsy London. This year she also hosted 'Saturday Night Live', appeared in 'Zoolander 2' and signed on to star as Penny in 'Hairspray Live!' on NBC.
