Armin Van Buuren and Erika Van Thiel seen arriving at the 2016 MTV Europe Music Awards (EMAs) held at the Ahoy Arena, Rotterdam, Netherlands - Sunday 6th November 2016
If you didn't think Faithless could get any more big room with their music, then think again. They just did. Regarded as producing some of the biggest nights in electronica before the recent revolution and dominance of EDM, Faithless are back to celebrate 20 years since their nascent, now allowing the names in the industry to remix their classics into the songs that will satisfy the biggest electronic festivals around the planet.
Calling in A list names such as Tiesto, Armin Van Buuren, Avicii, Above And Beyond, Eric Prydz and Axwell among others, the album has been given a contemporary make over, using the highest quality DJ's from house, trance and dnb to return Faithless to the masses.
The album at first seems to be about the numbers. The group are celebrating 20 years, the album is entitled 2.0. It's 2 CDs long - one remix album, one greatest hits. And all the remixed tracks are considered second generation, entitled 'insomnia 2.0' for example.

It's that time of the year again. Bank Holiday weekend in August. The time of the summer when Ibiza crash lands just outside Liverpool all because of a three-day weekender. We are of course talking about the UK's most sought after dance festival - Creamfields.
With Global Gathering taking a year sabbatical from the festival calendar, Creamfields is now unequivocally the biggest and greatest electronic line up in the isles, boasting huge headline acts over the three-day festival, amalgamating new acts such as David Zowie, all the way through to the veterans like Fatboy Slim, Pete Tong, Tiesto and Paul Van Dyke.
With more festival exclusives than anyone else, whilst impulsively pumping much money into production and expansion, the festival has now firmly cemented itself as the go to premiere electronic-music festival, and will undoubtedly go off with more pyrotechnics and fireworks than a Chinese New Year.

There's been ups and downs, but Ultra Music Festival turned out another year of unforgettable musical energy.
Ultra Music Festival turned out to be a bit of a rollercoaster of a weekend for everyone this year but, as usual, it's been three days of some of the most explosive electronic acts of our generation.
It was a terribly disappointing moment for festival goers (and, indeed, viewers; those who were viewing it live online) when it was announced that Saturday's main stage headliner Avicii would not make it to Miami for his set after being hospitalised earlier in the week for an emergency operation. However, that initial fan frustration was greatly eased by the arrival of Deadmau5, who took the Swedish DJ's place to much delightful surprise. Further entertainment came with some eagerly anticipated headline sets from Tiesto and Hardwell on the Friday and Sunday respectively.

Electric Zoo, a New York dance music festival, was cancelled after two died of apparent drug overdoses. It seems the two people who died had overdosed on MDMA, colloquially known as Molly.
Chase and Status were part of the Electric Zoo line up.
The two young people who died were Olivia Rotunda and Jeffrey Russ. Russ was taken to hospital in the early hours of Saturday morning and died shortly after arrival. Rotunda passed away later that evening at approximately 9.30pm. Another four attendees of the festival were also taken to hospital and reports suggest they had also taken the drug. At least four concertgoers became critically ill and were placed in critical care units in area hospitals, with Jeffrey Russ, 24, and Olivia Rotondo, 20, dying as a result. According to the New York Times, Russ was reportedly attending the festival with 23 members of his Syracuse University fraternity.
The final day of the festival was cancelled by the city' government "due to serious health risk," with the concert promoters in agreement.

New York City officials and festival organizers have cancelled the final day of the Electric Zoo music festival. The event was cancelled after two festival attendees died of alleged drug overdoses. The Electric Zoo festival, also known as E-Zoo, is held annually on Randall's Island over the Labour Day weekend. Tomorrowland is back with what looks to be one of their biggest weekends in history with tickets having been sold in the record time of... wait for it... one second!
This Belgian gathering will see a 200,000 strong international crowd once again this year all flocking to see some of the greatest dance and electronic artists of the world on the festival's massive range of stages. This year's main stage headliners include Dutch DJ Tiesto and Swedish house producer Sebastian Ingrosso for the Friday, while the Grammy nominated Avicii and trance DJ Armin Van Buuren are Saturday's main attraction. David Guetta, Fatboy Slim and Swedish House Mafia are pictured at the final weekend of Miami's Ultra Music Festival.
Swedish House Mafia at Ultra Musical Festival, Miami
America's favourite EDM fest The Ultra Music Festival have rounded off their last weekend with an impressive line-up.
We expected nothing less than exhilarating, flawless electronic finery from Ultra's uber exciting 2013 2-weekend line-up and neither weekend's artists held back at all as they hit Miami's Bayfront Park full of enthusiasm. Weekend 2's line-up saw a sting of disc jockey legends including double Grammy winner David Guetta, DJ royalty Fatboy Slim, the more recent chart sensation Deadmau5 and the Gold-selling Calvin Harris. Other attendees included Afrojack, who recently remixed Psy's YouTube hit 'Gangnam Style', Dutch sensation Armin Van Buuren, Italian DJ Benni Benassi and out latest electronic music heroes Zeds Dead. Snoop Lion (aka Snoop Dogg) became the highlight of weekend 1, however, and he probably felt right at home having collaborated with many artists on the bill.
