The line “Wanna take a ride in my tank?” wouldn’t go over well coming from a regular human, but if there’s anyone who can make it work, it’s Arnold Schwarzenegger. The former Governator is auctioning off a ride in his M47 tank and anyone can enter. It’s pretty admirable of him – after achieving his lifelong dream of owning a tank, he is now sharing it with one lucky, presumably very wealthy, fan. Proceeds from the auction will go to the charity organisation After-School All-Stars, which plans after-school activities for disadvantaged children. It’s a win-win.

The Governator has his dream already. Now he's offering someone else the chance.

Never one to hog all the credit, he wrote in the description of the video: “This idea came from Reddit, so I want to give credit where credit is due. Specifically, it came from “ipeeinyourshower” who has better taste in video ideas for charity than usernames.”

The winner of the auction will be able to pick any number of objects they like, but Schwarzenegger has a list of his own favorite things to crush. According to the video, it includes, but is not limited to: a taxi cab, a piano, a weight bench with 508lbs (his record, get it?), all 66 of his birthday cakes, bubblewrap and a copy of Million Dollar Baby because it makes him cry. That was a joke. Arnold Schwarzenegger never cries.

The video is part of Schwarzenegger’s long-term endorsement of After-School All-Stars. In January, he release another promotional video for the organisation, posing as a trainer at his old stomping grounds Gold’s Gym. The video went viral, racking up 17.1 million views to date.
