Arnold Schwarzenegger doesn't approve of his son's relationship with Miley Cyrus.

Patrick Schwarzenegger is smitten with the 'Wrecking Ball' hitmaker but his parents, the 'Terminator' actor and Maria Shriver, don't share his enthusiasm and are concerned the 22-year-old singer is a bad influence.

A source said: ''Miley is really smitten with Patrick but his family are less impressed with the new romance They don't approve of Miley's wild ways.

''Maria has warned Patrick that Miley might become a bad influence and she doesn't want her to lead her son astray.

''Arnold has come down pretty hard on the relationship too. He doesn't like the type of fame Miley attracts and isn't keen on that sort of relationship for him.''

Miley's friends are also said to be concerned about the relationship, suggesting Patrick is only using the 'We Can't Stop' hitmaker - who was previously engaged to Liam Hemsworth - for her fame.

The source told Closer magazine: ''Patrick has been on the Hollywood party circuit for years. He's been pursuing Miley for ages and while they both seem smitten, her friends fear he may also be using the romance to boost his fame.

''Her inner circle know how hurt she was after her split from Liam and don't want her to go through heartache again.''
