The champion bodybuilder-turned-actor, who portrays the titular cyborg, works out daily, but he had to put in the extra effort and put on a little more muscle in order to look just like he did 31 years ago, when the first Terminator film was released.

He tells U.S. breakfast show Good Morning America, "What was interesting was, I work out every day. I do my weights, I do cardiovascular training and so on, but when I started working on this movie in the pre-production, the director came to me and said, 'I want you to have the same frame you had in 1984', and so I had to literally gain 10 pounds.

"So I worked out twice as hard, twice as heavy; I did two hours of weight training every day. And then of course, worked endlessly with the stunt coordinator and with the stunt people to do all the fight scenes and choreographing all this stuff (sic)."

But Schwarzenegger admits he enjoyed the challenge: "A lot of work goes into these things, but it is fun, I love doing it."
